Earht’s Wrinkles

When flying anywhere in the world and looking down, hills, mountains, and valleys appear like the wrinkles of the earth.

I love this picture because the earth’s wrinkles are so clearly visible, beautifully covered in snow and surrounded by clouds.

Mountains are often called the "wrinkles of the earth" because their ridges and folds resemble lines etched across the planet’s surface by powerful geological forces. In this particular picture, the snow covering the mountains and the drifting clouds make those wrinkles stand out even more—highlighting each contour and accent, and revealing nature’s artistry in fine detail that might otherwise be hidden. From above, it's as if the earth's history is written plainly across its wintry skin.
